Inkjet printer iron-on transfer removal from a t-shirt.

I used a steam iron set to the dry iron setting to iron my transfer onto the front of a dark brown 100% cotton t-shirt. My transfer ended up having white dots which made the picture look blotchy. I guess the steam holes in the bottom of the iron are what caused the problem, even though I had it set to the dry iron setting. I had to figure out how to remove the transfer because I already had letters ironed on the back of the shirt.

This is what worked for me. Heat your iron on the highest setting for about 10 minutes. I used the cotton setting. Place the front of the shirt on the ironing board with the transfer picture facing up towards you. Place a piece of plain white paper over the transfer. You must have patience and a little muscle for the next part. I kept moving the iron all over the white paper while putting pressure on the iron. After about 5 minutes the paper was really hot. I peaked under the paper and the transfer was sticking to the paper. You have to keep ironing over the paper until the entire transfer peels off onto the white paper. I've removed two transfers using this method.

Duncan is a Cairn Terrier. He is an allergy-free, hypoallergenic dog. I am very allergic to dogs, so I researched allergy-free dogs on the internet. He is a great dog! I have no allergy problems around him. He has a lot of energy. He has a wire outer coat. He is very affectionate and has a sweet personality. He's also very nosy.

I am addicted to 24 and to Jack Bauer! I've seen the first three seasons on dvd by borrowing them from my local library. Here are synopsis of the first three seasons:

I'm posting the newest picture of the rash. It got worse overnight. It was confirmed by a doctor that my husband has Lyme Disease. He has to be on an antibiotic of Amoxicillin and Clavulanate. He has to take one 500 mg tablet three times daily for twenty-one days.

The incubation period-the time from when you are first infected until you develop symptoms-is usually around 7 to 14 days, but symptoms can develop anywhere from 3 to 31 days after you are bitten.

Stargate Atlantis

Stargate Atlantis Season Two is finally coming to dvd March 6, 2007. Here is a synopsis:

Season 2 began airing in the United States on July 15, 2005 and it picked up just where season 1 ended. The Atlantis expedition successfully avoids being culled by the Wraith by making them believe Atlantis has been destroyed, and recover semi-regular contact with Earth thanks to the Daedalus and the new ZPM. Sheppard is promoted to Lt. Colonel and former Runner Ronon Dex replaces Lt. Ford, now MIA.

The central plot of this second season is the development of Dr. Beckett's retrovirus, which can, theoretically, turn a Wraith into a human. While a not yet ready version makes a young Wraith girl lose all her humanity and almost turns Col. Sheppard into an Iratus bug, a more developed version is tested in a living Wraith, Michael, with mixed results. The season closes again with a cliffhanger, with the Wraith on their way to Earth.

'Lost' Planning End Date

In a highly unusual move for a broadcast series, ABC and the producers of "Lost" are in discussions to determine an end date for the show.

The date will set a limit to the number of "Lost" seasons to come and will be announced to fans. The show's producers, speaking at ABC's Television Critics Association press tour session, said having a conclusion date will bolster fan confidence in the series' narrative. A timeline for making the decision was not announced.

"It's time for us now to find an endpoint for the show," said executive producer Carlton Cuse. "JK Rowling announced there were seven books in the Harry Potter series and it gives fans [a framework for understanding the arc of the show]. 'The X-Files' was a cautionary tale for us. It was a great show that ran two seasons too long. 'Lost' has a short-half life."

"None of us want to be doing the stalling show," added executive producer Damon Lindelof. "We don't want them to be building sandcastles next week."

Though the series ratings have dipped this fall, the show remains one of ABC's top-rated programs. During the first season, Mr. Lindelof said the show could run nine seasons if necessary, noting the island has plenty of mysteries. Recently, fans and critics have grown frustrated, however, with the show's continually expanding mythology that keeps piling on new mysteries and characters.

After the panel, Mr. Lindelof suggested the series might cap at 100 episodes, which would only result in two more seasons. But ABC Entertainment President Steve McPherson sought to downplay the producers' statements, noting that "we've had those discussions for the past two years."

Earlier while on stage, Mr. McPherson said he agreed with critic complaints that the first six episodes this season pulled the story too far from the group dynamics that made the show popular.

"[The writers] made a clear choice that first installment would be about Jack, Kate, Sawyer and The Others," he said. "For me, the show I really invest in is having everybody together. I thought it was a riveting six episodes, but I like it when they're all together and they're heading toward that again after the break."

Though Mr. McPherson stood by his decision to schedule a four-month break in the "Lost" schedule this season, he reiterated his plan (first reported last month in TelevisionWeek) to try and run next season's episodes without a break or repeats, launching either in the fall or spring.

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. — George Lucas said Friday that filming of the long-awaited "Indiana Jones" movie will begin next year. Harrison Ford, who appeared in the three earlier flicks, the last one coming in 1989, is set to star again. Lucas said he and Steven Spielberg recently finalized the script for the film.

"It's going to be fantastic. It's going to be the best one yet," the 62-year-old filmmaker said during a break from preparing for his duties as grand marshal of Monday's Rose Parade.

Exact film locations have not been decided yet, but Lucas said part of the movie will be shot in Los Angeles.

The fourth chapter of the "Indiana Jones" saga, which will hit theaters in May 2008, has been in development for over a decade with several screenwriters taking a crack at the script, but it only recently gained momentum.

Lucas kept mum about the plot, but said that the latest action flick will be a "character piece" that will include "very interesting mysteries."

"I think it's going to be really cool," Lucas said.

At the inaugural Rome Film Festival in October, the 64-year-old Ford said he was excited to team up with Lucas and Spielberg again for the fourth "Indiana Jones" installment. Ford said he was "fit to continue" to play the title role despite his age.

Ford played Indiana Jones in 1981's "Raiders of the Lost Ark," 1984's "Temple of Doom" and 1989's "The Last Crusade."

Lucas praised Ford for breathing life into his character.

"Mostly it's the charm of Harrison that makes it work," he said.

My daughter is really into Snoopy! I loved Snoopy as a child. It's a shame I didn't keep all the Snoopy items I had as a child. When visiting our local hardware store, I came across this inflatable Snoopy. My daughter loves it! When we deflate Snoopy, she puts a pillow under his head and covers him with a blanket. Too cute!

I saw Suddenly Last Summer in New York City 12/9/06. The play was excellent! Here is a synopsis:

The play features Catherine Holly, a young woman who seems to go insane after her cousin Sebastian dies on a trip to Europe under mysterious circumstances. Sebastian's mother, Violet Venable, tries to cloud the truth about her son's homosexuality and his death, as she wants him to be remembered as a great artist. She threatens to lobotomize Catherine for her incoherent utterances relating to Sebastian's demise. Finally, under the influence of a truth serum, Catherine tells the gruesome story of Sebastian's death by cannibalism at the hand of local boys whose sexual favors he sought. Both his mother and later Catherine were only devices for him to attract the young men.

Without a tremour in her voice and even managing a smile, the Crocodile Hunter's daughter read from a sheet of paper, tracing the words with a finger.

Bindi - who shared a special bond with the Crocodile Hunter and was increasingly involved in his work - was greeted with a standing ovation as she walked to the podium from where she had sat with mum Terri and little brother Bob.

"My Daddy was my hero - he was always there for me when I needed him.

"He listened to me and taught me so many things but most of all he was fun.

"I know that Daddy had an important job. He was working to change the world so everyone would love wildlife like he did.

Sci Fi closes 'Stargate SG-1'

LOS ANGELES, California (Hollywood Reporter) -- Sci Fi Channel is grounding "Stargate SG-1," the longest-running science-fiction series on U.S. television to date.

The cable network has decided not to order additional episodes beyond the show's current 10th season, but it has picked up a fourth season of its more-popular spinoff, "Stargate Atlantis."

"Stargate SG-1," based on the 1994 movie starring Kurt Russell and James Spader, spent its first five years on Showtime -- which annoyed the show's producers by demanding full-frontal nudity -- before migrating to Sci Fi. Its 200th episode aired last Friday.

"Having achieved so much over the course of the past 10 years, Sci Fi believes that the time is right to make this season their last on the channel," Sci Fi said.

The show's ratings have softened in recent years and series star Richard Dean Anderson left last season, but it boasts a strong fan base, with as many as nine official conventions taking place worldwide every year. Producer MGM is exploring the possibility of taking the series to yet another outlet.

"MGM has tremendous amount of confidence in 'Stargate,' and we are vigorously working to continue the franchise," studio spokesman Jeff Pryor said.

The final three episodes of "Stargate SG-1" are slated to air on Sci Fi Channel next year. Both "Stargate SG-1" and "Atlantis" also run in syndication.

At 11am today, 4 September 2006, Steve Irwin was fatally wounded by a stingray barb to his heart while filming a sequence on Batt Reef off Port Douglas for a new TV series.

Emergency services were called from Cairns Rescue Base and met Croc One, Steve’s rescue vessel, at Low Isle on the Great Barrier Reef.
The Croc One crew performed constant CPR during the thirty-minute dash to Low Isle, but Steve was pronounced deceased at 12 noon by Queensland Ambulance Services personnel.

His producer and closest friend, John Stainton said on Croc One today,
“The world has lost a great wildlife icon, a passionate conservationist and one of the proudest dads on the planet. He died doing what he loves best and left this world in a happy and peaceful state of mind. Steve would have said, ‘Crocs Rule!’”

Residents are wondering if an animal found dead over the weekend may be the mysterious creature that has mauled dogs, frightened residents and been the subject of local legend for half a generation.
The animal was found near power lines along Route 4 on Saturday, apparently struck by a car while chasing a cat. The carcass was photographed and inspected by several people who live in the area, but nobody is sure exactly what it is.

Michelle O'Donnell of Turner spotted the animal near her yard about a week before it was killed. She called it a "hybrid mutant of something."

"It was evil, evil looking. And it had a horrible stench I will never forget," she told the Sun Journal of Lewiston. "We locked eyes for a few seconds and then it took off. I've lived in Maine my whole life and I've never seen anything like it."

For the past 15 years, residents across Androscoggin County have reported seeing and hearing a mysterious animal with chilling monstrous cries and eyes that glow in the night. The animal has been blamed for attacking and killing a Doberman pinscher and a Rottweiler the past couple of years.

People from Litchfield, Sabattus, Greene, Turner, Lewiston and Auburn have come forward to speak of a mystery monster that roams the woods. Nobody knows for sure what it is, and theories have ranged from a hyena or dingo to a fisher or coydog, an offspring of a coyote and a wild dog.

Now, people are asking if the mystery beast and the animal killed over the weekend are one and the same.

Wildlife officials and animal control officers declined to go to Turner to examine the remains. By Tuesday, the carcass had been picked clean by vultures and there was not much left of the dead animal.

Loren Coleman, a Portland author and cryptozoologist, said it's unlikely that the animal was anybody's pet.

After reviewing photos of the carcass, Coleman said he was bothered by the animal's ears and snout. It reminded him of a case years ago in northern Maine in which an animal shot by a hunter could not be identified. In the end, wildlife officials got a DNA analysis that showed the animal was a rare wolf-dog hybrid, he said.

Mike O'Donnell, who is married to Michelle O'Donnell, said the animal looked "half-rodent, half-dog" to him.

It was charcoal gray, weighed between 40 and 50 pounds and had a bushy tail, a short snout, short ears and curled fangs hanging over its lips, he said. It looked like "something out of a Stephen King story."

"This is something I've never seen before. It's an evil-looking thing," he said.

I hate these wolf creatures they put in the movies. They said the creepy-looking creatures in the movie are villainous hyena-like monsters who prevent the Narfs and vessels from doing their work. The topsides of these monsters are covered in shaggy hair that looks like grass: they can lay down almost completely flat in a lawn of grass, looking like little more than a bump in the lawn, to sneak up on their prey. Another movie to give me nightmares!

Kettler Blossom Tricycle

My daughter's Kettler Blossom tricycle came today. It is a cute little thing. The reason I bought this brand is because the handlebars and front wheel do not turn more than 45 degrees left or right, which reduces the danger of tipping over. The Blossom has a tipping rear bucket. My daughter already had her stuffed animals in the bucket.

I looked at a Radio Flyer tricycle first. My daughter took one for a test drive at Target, but it started tipping over forward and sideways when she tried to get off it.

Backyardigans Bedding / Big Bed

My 2-year-old just went into a twin bed from her crib on 3/11/06. Her crib does convert to a toddler bed, but we decided to put her into a twin bed. The transition went smoothly. We tried it with her afternoon nap, and she had no trouble falling asleep.

As of right now, she is sleeping her second night in the bed. She got excited about sleeping in the "big bed". She is always telling us she wants to sleep in Mommy and Daddy's big bed, but that is not going to happen! I tried it once when she was sick, and she didn't fall asleep until 5 a.m. I, however, got no sleep that night.

I put Backyardigans bedding on her bed from Linens and Things. She also has a stuffed Pablo to sleep with. Here are some pics.

Snowman/bunny

My daughter and I made our first snowman together Wednesday. Actually, a snowbunny. My mom made a snowman at her house, so I decided to make a snowbunny. It hit 58 degrees, so we had the perfect slushy snowbunny-making snow. My daughter started singing the Miffy show song when she saw it finished. It was cute.

Right after we made the snowbunny, a white rabbit with black spots hopped out of nowhere. Has to be someone's pet because we only have the brown rabbits with white tails around our area.

A funny story. I started rolling the bottom of the snowbunny and realized there was cat poop in it. Out of the 5 acres of property we have, I pick the spot where the cat goes. My gloves will go in the washing machine before I go to bed. Yuck!

My favorite actor is Harrison Ford. I met him at the Lancaster County Courthouse during the filming of Witness. My parents and I drove around Lancaster County to the filming locations trying to catch sight of him. We were directed to the Lancaster County Courthouse. As we drove closer to the courthouse, we saw the Paramount Pictures trucks. Harrison was in the building filming a scene. After what seemed like an eternity to a little ten-year-old girl, he came out of the building. He posed for a picture and gave me his autograph. A day I will never forget!

Disaster Pet/Embarrassing Moment

How can this pretty kitty be such a disaster?

I took my cat to the vet for her annual shots yesterday. I have to give her a happy pill the vet gave me every time because she totally freaks out in the pet carrier. She spins circles inside it, scratches her face on the metal door and goes to the bathroom in it. She pooped on the weight scale in the vet's office too! She looks so relaxed in the picture, doesn't she? LOL!

This reminded me of an experience during the annual trip to the vet several years ago. I was stupid enough to think I could just hold her on the ride there and back. Well, my husband had to pry her off my back. Her nails were dug into my back through a t-shirt, sweatshirt and a jean jacket. On the way home, she peed on me. This is the fun part! Aunt Flow just came to visit and Smoke's pee went through my jeans onto my pad! Yuck!

Anyone else have a disaster pet, or am I the only one?

The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe was a fantastic movie! They could not have picked a better person to do the voice of Aslan. Liam Neeson! Great special effects. It made me miss the Lord of the Rings even more! The lion looked so real. Great story! I have never read and do not have the books, but I'm very interested in reading the books now. It made me think of the Neverending Story which I enjoyed as a young child. Both stories had wolves as the bad guys. Wolves still scare me! American Werewolf in London did it to me! I'm still hiding under the covers because of that movie. It seems so hokey now being that they play it on Comedy Central during the month of Halloween. I hate the face of that wolf. Many little kids jumped during some of the wolf scenes in the Chronicles of Narnia. I was right there with them!

Another episode of Lost to look forward to this week. I hope Sawyer survives his injury. I will be so upset if they kill that character off. Another way to get ratings, I guess. Keep people wondering if they will kill yet another character off this popular tv show. I think they will lose many female viewers if they do. I know one of my friends and I will be ticked off if they do! He is one of the best-looking men on that show. I will be there at 9 on Wednesday to find out!

I found out some interesting information about Josh Holloway by checking out some websites. He is into the martial arts. That is totally cool! I'm actually a 1st degree black belt in karate. I read that he hates the long hair he has on the show. I like his hair short and long. I hated it when he was on the raft and had it partially pulled back in a pony tail. Yuck! I'm a sucker for facial hair too! He looks very nice clean shaven and in a suit. He is one fine-looking gentleman!

I live in Dover, PA. I'm right in the center of all this Intelligent Design stuff. Here is the statement that everyone is talking about.

Text of the intelligent design statement Dover, Pa., teachers were instructed to read to their students:

The Pennsylvania Academic Standards require students to learn about Darwin’s theory of evolution and eventually to take a standardized test of which evolution is a part.

Because Darwin’s theory is a theory, it continues to be tested as new evidence is discovered. The theory is not a fact. Gaps in the theory exist for which there is no evidence. A theory is defined as a well-tested explanation that unifies a broad range of observations.

Intelligent design is an explanation of the origin of life that differs from Darwin’s view. The reference book, “Of Pandas and People,” is available for students who might be interested in gaining an understanding of what intelligent design actually involves.

With respect to any theory, students are encouraged to keep an open mind. The school leaves the discussion of the origins of life to individual students and their families. As a standards-driven district, class instruction focuses upon preparing students to achieve proficiency on standards-based assessments.

I bought my daughter a Backyardigans potty seat today. Hopefully, this will give her incentive to use the potty. This potty seat has all five Backyardigans on it. A lot of times they avoid putting Austin on items for some reason. I think he has the cutest voice of the five.

I've got to get my daughter potty trained soon. She started freaking out on the changing table at Walmart two Fridays ago. I think she is getting too long in the body to fit correctly on the changing tables now. She must feel unstable. I now get looks as I carry a huge bath towel into the handicapped bathroom and change her on the floor. What else can I do? Let her walk around with a poopy diaper?

I ventured out to Linens 'n Things this weekend. I saw advertisements for Backyardigans items at their store last week on Nick Jr. I saw a potty seat, bedding, pillows, stuffed animals, dinnerware, a pop-up tent and much more.

Kohl's carries a good selection of Backyardigans shirts, outfits, sleepers. They have cute light up shoes for boys and girls.

I see people have been putting some of these items up on eBay. The prices seem kind of high on eBay. Check out Kohl's online and Linens 'n Things online before you buy. Linens 'n Things just had a 20% off coupon for one item in my local paper today. Black Friday is coming. Christmas too. Those stores are bound to run some good sales to get people to buy. Keep checking those sales papers!

Roads in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware

I attended a friend's wedding a week ago in Rehoboth Beach, DE. I thought Pennsylvania roads sucked until last Saturday. PA is getting better at putting road signs over the top of the road so you can see the road name clearly. Not in Rehoboth. No road signs over the top of the road there. I had to keep hitting my brakes as we approached each road to squint and read the corner road sign. It was awful!

My daughter and I accidentally came across a screwed up show on PBS called Boobah. I think one has to be high on some illegal substance to understand anything about this show. As we were watching, my daughter turned to me with a what the hell kind of look on her face.
